We are happy you found us and we open our doors to everyone in the spirit of Jesus, the Word Incarnate, who came to
seek and save the lost! Incarnation Parish is a lively community of around 3000 families, situated on Florida’s
Suncoast in the thriving cultural city of Sarasota. We focus on providing men and women of faith with the
opportunities to engage in the Gospel in four major areas of parish life:
Worship:
Through participation in the Church’s sacramental life: Baptism, Penance, Eucharist, Confirmation, Marriage, Holy Orders and Anointing of the Sick
Service:
Through our many parish ministries which engage the poor, elderly, handicapped and anyone disadvantaged. Our ministries provide countless hours of service to the community.
Education:
In addition to our Pre-K to Grade 8 school, we encourage parishioners to be lifelong learners, and so provide all levels of faith formation, including a comprehensive Religious Education program, RCIA, youth group, adult bible study, and opportunities that offer ongoing formation for the lay faithful.
Social Life:
Our faith informs and influences every aspect of our lives, even our leisure time. God created us to be in community with others, and there is so much beauty, goodness, and joy to embrace in this world. Parishioners socialize constantly throughout the year through our many ministries, at parish gatherings, school sponsored events, festivals, service fundraisers, and just on a weekly basis as we come together on Sundays to rest from our labors and praise God!
Our Main Church & Chapel
Our Church building consists of a main Church used for Sunday worship with capacity around 1000 persons. Our beautiful chapel,
which is very inviting and a favorite among parishioners, is used for daily Mass, weddings, and funerals and can seat around 300 persons. Adoration is also held here every day during the week.
We have beautiful statues, a parish library, active ministries, many spiritual events and groups, excellent musicians,
and an atmosphere conducive to prayer.
Our Parish School – The ICS Saints!:
Incarnation Catholic School Pre-K -8th Grade opened in 1961 at a temporary site and moved into the current building in 1962. It continues its proud tradition today forming young people in a Catholic worldview to be lifelong learners and disciples of Jesus. In 2008, Incarnation Catholic School was recognized as a Blue Ribbon School by the United States Department of Education.
Mrs. Amy Yager is our principal, coming to us in 2021 from New York. She is a strong, capable administrator with a cheerful and kind presence, and we are blessed to have her leadership. We have dedicated teachers, a small community atmosphere, weekly Mass with the kids helping in various ministries, and a safe and fun environment for learning. For more info on our school, check out our ICS Website.
